The Mikado apricot tree has vigorous growth and half-open development. It blossoms very early in the season, flowering is very good and it has a high production rate every year.

Mikado apricots are light orange with a high percentage of red blush, and are round with an average size of AA. They have good firmness, are easily handled and have a much lower percentage of cracking when compared to their competitors.
